I started playing on Nasomi last month, and I have found the experience very satisfying, as the server transported me to the Halcyon days before "Wings of the Goddess" and "Abyssea" came to destroy all that was decent in Vana'diel. :p

One bug, however, is driving me insane: It hits me every time I start trying to level Fishing: My avatar stands by the water bodies in Windurst Woods, pulls out his trusty Fast Water Rod, and his container of Little Worms, and prepare to fish (carp, one hopes). However, INVARIABLY, when I catch my first fish, and after fighting it to 0 health I get a message to the point that "You don't know how long you can keep this one on the line..." or something like this, and after I lose the catch, I am frozen in place, unable to execute any commands or move, until I force-kill the game and restart it. However, i see many people happily fishing!!

What's going on? and MORE IMPORTANTLY, is there a way to avoid this and progress with my FSH leveling???

Don’t go semi-afk. Don’t let any fish-bites time out. Press enter. Send a few messages to Nas in NasChat to remind him. This bug has been around since last year and it is the reason why I don’t like fishing.

After getting it to 0 health... hit enter to reel it in...

It'd have taken my longer to figure out how to get the colors to work than to google that I just need to press enter when I want to catch a fish, I think.

As for Googling how to use colors, that I didn’t. Why, they’re there, to the right, for anyone to see!
