Hello, so I have bought and used the whm spell Repose 4 times now.

Used it on 2 characters and lost it upon zoning. thats a total of 120k.

Why is it available for purchase if you cannot use it?

I'm pretty sure the spell is classified as 'out of era' so it therefor does not work; but the scroll exists so it still gets sold. It sucks when you learn about that the hard way, the real question is, why oh why did it take 4 times?!?!

Fool me once, shame on you...fool me 4 times...

Sorry you wasted your gil :(

It's just one of those things you have to accept on a private server such as this, there will be bugs and annoyances here and there.

Do a little research before you commit to spending 120k on a spell. Chances are if you had asked in your LS before buying, someone would have told you. Yeah it's not ideal to have to check, but you only really have to worry about any spells or items that were added in WotG or later.

As I said, I used it on 2 characters. I bought 2 once, used one and gave the other to my second character.
I didn't notice it was gone until the first time I wanted to use it. I checked my other characters inventory and it had vanished there too.

Because this was so confusing I wasn't sure anymore if I had bought it at all. Hence the four times of spending 30k a piece. And its quite the hike to Bastok, the only place where its being sold, thats why I bought 2, for me and my other.

It still is unclear to me which year of FFXI nasomi is on. That makes it somewhat impossible to do your research on wiki history. And there is history for Respose from November 19th 2007. That is one day before WotG was released.

So Miku, your post was not helpful at all. Next time you have nothing to say in a condescending way, try to restrain yourself.

Dear Nasomi, I want my money back please. Because there was no way of knowing that this purchasable spell will just vanish into nothing.

Miku could have been slightly more polite, but what they said is the best advice you’ll get on things like this. Minor stuff like this has been around for years and will likely never change. Many people have lost their gil this way and no one got it back.

You have to accept that and move on if you want to enjoy a free private server from an old era.

I too wasted my gil on Repose long ago. Take care, I hope you have fun out there despite stuff like this.

That is terrible. so you can never be sure if a spell really exists before buying, using and zoning...
Why not take those spells out of the game..

And what year exactly is Nasomi on? Does anyone know?

Yes, you can. As Miku said, and you dismissed as unhelpful, you can ask your LS... the town you're in.... Wikipedia

Thinking that Repose should be in the game, because it's wiki page was created one day prior to WotG is asinine.

Ask around next time, and no he doesn't refund gil for things like that.

Fail to see how my post was impolite, but ehh. You wanted an explanation and I gave you one. This game was built around communication, no quest markers, no arrows, you have to learn things, ask others, check wikis. Double checking will help you save money in the long run.

After reading this self centered and insulting response, I'm glad you lost your gil. And I'm glad nasomi will 100% never give it back to you.
