I want to express a bit, and change my characters face/head, or even change his attack animation and the like. It's nothing major like changing the files to cheat or anything. But I don't want to attempt to do it, until I know that they are allowed.

I don't think it breaks any rules, but I'd rather be safe, than sorry.
