I would like to turn the gamma up on game but doesn't seem to set higher even if I try it in the config in or outside of game and it looks way too dark on my monitor

You can't unless you play in true fullscreen (which requires launching without ashita).

i was having problems with the game being incredibly dark at night. brightness was all the way up. f11 would just highlight character models and select hallways in San'D Oria but the rest of the environment was still pitch black. Figured out that it was the bumpmapping that my computer didn't like.

I’m up in Darwin and my old laptop finally died, so I do everything on my mobile now. I hate using browser versions of games because they always seem to crash when a call comes in. I looked for the sweet bonanza 1000 app https://bonanzagames.org/app/ to see if the performance was better. It is night and day—the animations are so much smoother and the touch response is instant. It doesn't heat up my phone like the browser version did, either. If you’re a mobile-only player like me, the dedicated software is definitely the way to go for this game.
