ok im encountering a strange bug currently. i changed jobs from my WAR to my THF while wearing the "Shell Shield" when all things said and done the shield is still attached to my character while on THF... and THF cant even use this shield but two more weird things happen still 1.) it wont let me remove the shield and 2.) im still getting the stat bonus from the shield. this has happened one other time doing the same thing but last time i was able to remove the shield off my character and no longer receive the shield bonus but the shield model still attached to my person..... even after changing jobs (which was weird to have a shield model attached while on MNK punching things lol!)

not sure if this just a localized bug with this particular shield or what... i cant test if this happens with another shield or not for me since its my only shield

I've heard of that issue on a the shell shield. Pretty sure it's just that one, I change jobs all the time and it always kicks my shield off.

It's just a visual thing. Once you zone outside of your mog house you won't get the stats, but it will still visibly show up. To fix it, equip something which would go into that slot. Like a 2h sword.

wouldnt a H2H by that regard remove the shield? cause i was on MNK with Cesti on killing rabbits and shield was still showing XD

You could try equiping a staff, but h2h doesn't count like a 2h weapon for most things it's kind of wierd. Swap back to the class that can use the shield to unequip it properly if it bugs you.

honestly the shield being there doesnt bug me, primarily just brought it up cause wasnt sure if was a known bug

I have a similar issue with the Aspis shield. When I switched from RDM to BLM and switched to a two handed staff its still stuck to my arm. Not a big issue for me but its still there even after multiple zones and a two handed weapon swap. I'll try the unequipping it plan when I switch back to RDM.
