First just wanted to ty nasomi for setting up a server like this, truly awesome.

I just started and the only problem I have encountered is the 1920x1080 resolution is just a little big for my monitor for some reason. 1600x900 works fine but I want it full screen. I use a PC monitor that is about 23 inches and it's native display is 1920x1080 and I've never had a display problem in anything else before. The edges of the screen get cut off when I get to the title screen. I tinkered with the settings to no avail, I am not sure what the issue is.

Thanks for any help, cheers~

Ok I've pretty much figured it out. I just created a new config that is 1920x1080. For some reason Nasomi's default 1920x1080 is actually 1920x1200 on mine.

Did you have any issues with your mouse? I'm having the same issue as you however when I adjust the settings, the mouse is off and I can't get it to work properly

Run the config utility from SE

\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS\FINAL FANTASY XI Config.exe

and set the "Menu Resolution" to match your screen resolution. Don't ask me why SE engineered it this way

So i found the solution the screen being cutoff. Go into your polboot.exe properties and check the box that says disable dpi scaling under the compatibility tab. I also did this on ashita exe just to be safe but i dont think it matters. The game should be a nice fullscreen now. Im also running it in windows 7 compatibility mode on windows 8.1 for reference.

I have NOT found a solution to my GPU NOT wanting to run with this game, im still stuck with 512mb of onboard and my 2gbddr5 nvidia 960m sitting dormant during gameplay. I dont think there is a solution for this.

After months of fighting this problem I found this post from NVIDIA. Apparently not working is 'working as intended'

Last nvidia GPU laptop I buy...

Try this OP, particularly the Ashita settings. The pol boot trick didn't do anything for me but doing this for the ashita.exe file did. Hope this helps. Image

I found that the Default display in the Ashita 1 launcher cut off my menus etc. The updated to the ashita2 launcher in the downloads section and it had correctly set defaults.
