I tried this game a few months ago and wanted to get back into it. When I click start all I get is the cmd pop up and then it says in red letters cannot connect to server, Will I have to redownload the game again to be able to play?

My friend and I keep running into the same roadblock with the launcher.

We keep running into this "Closing..." message after entering in our account info for the Ashita launcher.

We've made sure there aren't any duplicates of Ashita on our PCs, and our character registration has been completed.

I've gone through the guidance of viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7977 - but we haven't managed to figure out what's the issue.

Hope those issues narrow things down! We can't wait to get back to FFXI's golden era on the Nasomi server!

Try reinstalling Riddlin. It sounds like an incomplete install.

Take note you can't run the install INSIDE the zip. You need to unzip it if you did the direct download.
