Is it possible to expand the number of names that come up during a search? Last night I was trying to see which members of our linkshell were online, but couldn't see everyone. Is it a setting in the configuration as to how many names come up or is it something that is hard wired in the system? It would also be nice to have more names come up during a search or a way to see the next page available.

Nope, it's a thing we all just have to deal with.
