i tried the other version that someone recommended but i’m having the same problem as most people

after putting my name and password, it seems like it should work but the window closes and the game doesn’t launch

do i need to find a new boot.exe??

well people had this issue recently and the newer launcher seems to have fixed them but you said u tryed alrdy and it doesnt work right?

correct, the new launcher window looks a little different and it says it found 3 servers blah blah blah

it logs me in and then closes

i will try to uninstall and reinstall

well at least we can say that u are using the proper launcher now , the one with 3 different servers hope u get in !

1 more thing that i just remember can conflict with this is if you have retail installed . I suggest you open naschat and ask To the user called Valaena he knows better about this situation

funny you mention that

ive been playing retail normally but ffxi went on sale on steam for 12$ so i bought it and installed it on steam

that messed shit up because the ashita3 im using for normal retail said the game was no longer installed, so i uninstalled the steam one and had to redownload the game from square enix >< it was very annoying

so today was the first time trying to get into Nasomi after quite awhile of not touching it lol

installing nasomi right now..i will let you know how it turns out

reinstalling seemed to do the trick, i can now log back in!

there was no need to use the ashita version you linked in other posts
