I bought an Emperor Hairpin a while ago when I was too low level to get one for myself. Today I threw it on the AH and went off to go farm one for myself (I like to get my own drops, even if it doesn't start that way.) Anyway, I got the drop. Great! Later on I was fidgeting my with AH, took something else I had up down. Got a "You cannot posses more than one of that item" in yellow text, (usually it's red) when I tried to take my stack of flint stones down. I recheck my inventory and then look at the auction house again and the Hairpin I had listed is just gone. Disappeared. Is there anything I can do about this or am I just SOL? I remember in retail if you did this when a rare item it would just give you an error message and keep the item on the AH. Thing is I didn't even try to remove the Hairpin, it was a different item all together.

Its still on the AH. Things you pull from the AH aren't sometimes what they are. It happens all the time, but rest assured its still there.

I've noticed that happening, Najii, sometimes the wrong item name is still there, so I pulled everything I had on the AH down to the point where Sales Status said nothing was up. Even if the wrong name appears, there still has to be something there right? If it's there and invisible, it seems as good as gone since it's listed at a price that will never sell (wanted to make sure I still had one even if I didn't get a drop.)

It should be returned after 30 days if it's still there.

You may want to sell rare/ex items on an alt in the future.

Can confirm this. Spent about 1.5 hours removing items from the AH and had a RA item in my inventory. Accidentally selected a second RA item on the AH to remove and was able to remove it, yet still sold it from the AH. If you remove items from the "Sales Status", sometimes you won't actually remove the item that you selected and it'll remove something else entirely. Seems to work properly once you get below a certain # of items on the AH, as it started actually removing the item I selected after awhile.

For what it's worth, the item was never returned after 30 days. Be careful about Rare items and the AH I guess (I'm just going to make sure I never have them on the same character, going forward.)

Okay so this just happened to me right now with 2 peacock charms i had listed... is this a known bug? Will Nasomi Help me with this, or should I consider this a loss ?

I always thought the AH listed them for more than 30 days, as there are more than a few records of items selling on AH beyond that point?

FWIW, I've never had an issue taking items off AH as long as you exit/reload the "sales status" menu between each item.
Taking down multiple always ends up taking random stuff down.

It happens. You won't get help. Not being cold just being honest. If you have something rare that you also have in the ah, you will have to wait patiently for it to sell, give the rare item to a mule or alt while you dig, or probably lose your item. I pretty much exclusively auction house things with my bazaar guy now. I find it a lot easier to manage that way. Also, Auction house does not send anything back anymore. The max it will show something listed for is 34.96 days but beyond that it will just say that amount. It hasn't returned anything in at least 3 months.

I figured I would chip in my knowledge since I use the auction house quite a lot. Currently an item will stay up on the auction house for longer than 30 days. I’m not sure of the exact length, it could be as many as 60 days. But the timer stops at 34.96 days so we can’t really tell.

there was a period of about six months where the auction house stopped returning items. A couple months ago something was changed and I got a flood of items into my delivery box and since then I occasionally get items returned to me.

I have no experience with selling rare items and potentially losing them. It is possible you lost your item, but I wouldn’t give up hope completely until more time has passed.
