The first time I launched Ashita, there were no files to update (don't know if that was a problem)
But every time I launch FFXI it just crashes with the event name being APPCRASH.

Anyone have a workaround for this? Or what can I do?

One of my computers (64 bit win 7), i need to turn my internet off, then launch ashita as admin, then connect internet then launch game. If my Ashita updates, i have to delete it and install an un-updated one. My windows 10 i dont need to do this, although Ashita always gives an update error.

If the problem keeps persisting, couldn't using the old Ashita work or is that option finally dead?

I had this problem, but I then downloaded Ashita2. and works fine now. Maybe you should try getting the 2nd Ashita.
