Hi, just installed the game and logged in, everything runs fine, but every menu and the chat log is in Japanese. Managed to log in from memory, but it's a bit of a pain since I can't read anything can anyone help please?

Hmm, not sure, but I would assume it can be changed at the initial screen 'Select char | create char | delete char | settings | exit' i believe it is.

Thanks for the reply unfortunately there was nothing for language settings in there, just things like volume, layout, keyboard type and such.

I think the only way to fix it is a full reinstall of the game.

Tried this twice still no change sadly.

Couldn't find any config file for FFXI sadly, so I couldn't edit it for language. Couldn't find anything similar

try talking to nasomi on nasomi.net but im pretty sure ive fixed this before by doing a full uninstall of POL and FFXI and everything. Are you able to log in and create a character in english? Because if you are getting an error message in japanese when you try I think you need to copy the data folder from FFXI into the POL folder

Spoke to Nas the other day he doesn't know why it occurs. I'll try uninstall POL this time aswell. I can log in and create a character from memory. no error messages, just the whole game is in JP, menus, chat log, item names, jobs.
