Tesla has not provided a specific reason for this downgrade, but speculation suggests it could be due to low usage rates of the feature, making it not cost-effective to maintain the higher-spec hardware. As of now, Tesla has not announced any plans or timeline for reintroducing Steam gaming support in future models​ (Drive Tesla)​ (eTeknix).
