I struck Mining points 33 times; I got 33 items and lost 33 pickaxes. Is mining in the zone working as intended?

I should note: the points did move after every 3 strikes, which seems to be the norm.

I wasnt wearing the mining armor though, might be part of it

Nasomi did make changes to Mining on 4-21-2016 (just last week).
No-one knows just what though currently.
So this might be intended.
Hafta see if he responds though.

Yeah, I can't find what was changed/intended on the forums or in the chat.

Personally, guaranteed breaks seems a bit rough. You've got to pull at least one darksteel ore in 48* swings to break even, using 180g/ea NPC picks, which I barely managed to do last night. No idea what the usefulness of field gear would be, either.

4/4 in Zeruhn Mines for now

After the 6-4-2016 maintenance/update.


Tested mining in Zeruhn Mines.
Took in 12 pick-axes, and wore the 4 piece field suit.
Had 100% breaks.

I also noticed that the mining points rotated to new places, instead of the previous 4 they were set to.

I can also confirm this happening in Yughot Grotto. So it seems it's a Mining or Pickaxe thing.

I hope this will get fixed soon D:

Nasomi, any chance we can get a comment on what's going on with mining/the intention here? I really enjoy mining and fishing, but between this and the abysmal skill up rate on fishing (still 0.0 after a ridiculous amount of jelly fish), I'm not having a great time lately.

Do the elemental ores still drop from mining? I went through 12 stacks of pickaxes in "The Maze" and didn't find one over 2 sessions.
