Just installed Nasomi yesterday. I'm playing on a 2880x1800 screen. I noticed that all the text (names, chat, UI) all look kind of blurry. Is it supposed to look like that since it's an old game? I tried playing with the settings but it only ever changes the size of the UI, and doesn't fix the blurriness. Here is a screenshot of my game:

Thanks for confirming. I'm going to try out the XI-View mod to see if it makes the UI look better.

My PC isn't that great, but I would like to get XI-View working.

I tried to install it by moving the ROM folders (0, 91, 119) into SquareEnix/FINAL FANTASY XI/ROM but when I attempted to launch the game it did not launch anymore. Is there a step I'm missing to get XI-View to work?

Have you tried adjusting to a 16x9 resolution for Window/Menu size, like 2816 x 1584? The game doesn't render 'odd' resolutions very well. It also usually helps the [crude by today's standards] rendering engine to have the background resolution be "some power of two" by "that same power of two", e.g. 1024 x 1024, 2048 x 2048, 4096 x 4096, etc. More useful info here: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Graphics

I figured out how to get XI-View to work. I apparently copied over the files incorrectly the first time.

Has anyone been successful in getting text to render sharp? I installed XI-View and while there are some graphical improvements, the text rendered is still blurrier. See screenshot:
