So... hit 70 did the Maat fight , slept to 100%TP with opo necklace, walked up buffed - sidewinder > shadowbind .. he hits me 3 times, 130, 145, 130 ... I have 1370 HP .. so I'm at around 800 HP at this point, I use Barrage .... and then I fall to the ground dead. No damage is recorded in the log at all. No Eagle Eye Shot animation from what I can tell. Just dead from 800 HP to 0. Seems like a bug to me but is it possible EES went off and the game doesn't register it? - Very Frustrated.

I had a similar experience while using a JA and getting hit at the same time for moderate/low damage; just dropping dead. Nothing in the chat log. Nas said he heard this happening once before, but I dunno.

Maybe it's worth doing some testing using certain JAs and getting hit at the same time. Clearly it isn't happening on many of them, as many jobs in the front line get hit and use their JAs often. Martyr/Devotion, and now Barrage, may seen to trigger it.

I wanted to go back in and try again but alas ... single ranger testimony was useless. Guess I will try again tomorrow after farming up another one. Loved wasting all that money I barely had on items too, lol... I'm just glad it wasn't in my head ... I was like wait wtf... I had that easily!!!! He was at 40%~ and I hadn't used barrage another sidewinder and eagle eye shot... /rage

If you have not beaten it yet, I would advice building TP before you enter BCNM ( /sam or oppo crown w/e, TP won't be reset when you enter the BCNM) bring any form of reraise. As soon as you enter do Slugshot / Sidewinder > barrage and keep building your TP until he one shots you with EES. Make sure you die outside the aggro range. Reraise asap and rest until weakness wears and you are full HP again. Then just procceed to beat his 2hr-less ass.

I don't think you can use a sub for Maat fights correct?

You could meditate outside of the BCNM before it removes your sub. Its been so long since I did that fight, I honestly can't remember if it wipes buffs/TP prior to entry.

That's right. TP is not reset when you enter, at least in nasomi.
