I've installed the game to my C:/ drive using the one-click launcher, and when I open Ashita and try to run the game, I get the message "Failed to obtain PlayOnline path from system registry." I really want to get back into FFXI, any help would be appreciated.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

EDIT: Disregard this. I am a derp and didn't notice my system had grabbed the wrong torrent, and thus downloaded the wrong installer. Getting the beta installer at time of edit, fingers crossed.

EDIT 2: The beta installer gives me a command prompt with text in green. I give it a path, it extracts some files, and restarts itself. If I go to the path I gave it, I find the NasomiXI folder. Run Ashita as administrator, and try to run Nasomi 1080P. "Failed to obtain PlayOnline path from system registry." I'm at the point where I'm ready to give up, as this is the second FFXI server I haven't been able to join, but I'll sleep on it and see if there's any suggestions here in the morning. To anyone who read this far, thanks for the patience.

Stop in naschat, nas will be most likely able to sort you out.

I was told NasChat is for in-game support only, and was directed to bring installation problems here, to the forums...

You need to edit the install script and delete the "call :unzipfile" line about half way down, then save, and re-run. It should fix it for you.

Thank you, thank you! This did solve my problem, finally. I had already deleted the NasomiXI folder, though. So for anyone in the future, the process is this:
1. Run the installer normally.
2. Edit the installer to delete the "Call :UnZipFile" (line 28), and save.
3. Run the edited installer.

After this, I was able to launch from Ashita successfully. Thank you again, Drink Pepsi!

Hi! I have the same problem, but I don't understand the "edit the installer" part xD Where can I do that? I didn't find any text file or anything like that on the installation folder. I'm reinstalling again, is that step done in the middle of the installation process? Thanks in advance!

There's a batch file you have to right click and "edit" it.
