Seeing as I can't get on IRC because of reasons, I figured I'd report this bug here.(Someone tell Nas I've learned my lesson.)

I've found a bug that forces items into your bazaar that you are trying to place on the AH.

To replicate this bug(I just did it 5 times) follow these steps:

1. Currently have items in your bazaar.
2a. Not have enough gil to place your selected item on AH.
OR
2b. Check your sales status and have 7 items show up.
3. Attempt to place the item on AH.

It seems that as long as you get the "Failed to place merchandise on auction." message, the item will be placed in your bazaar for the price you wanted to list it at. It will not show up grey as you are looking in your inventory and it will be removed if someone buys it from your bazaar.

Edit: If you encounter this bug you must place the item for a price in your bazaar(I just set 99,999,999G) and take it down without closing the menu. I haven't tried trading said item or selling items from stacks while this was happening.

It's probably already known, but in addition to the above, I can testify that just doing this :



makes you incapable to post new items for sale on the AH afterwards (you get an error message), until you leave the area.
I could reproduce this every time. I assume checking sales status is broken and I just don't use it and just login to check my auctions on na.nasomi.com , it's more convenient anyway. ^_^

Checking sales status sets a flag in your client (if you have 7 or more items listed) that tells the client it can't list more items. The only way to circumvent that would be for the server to only send you 6 items when checking sales status.

The first issue in this thread is exacerbated by the fact that the Lower Jeuno AH lies to you about the listing fee. It's supposed to be halved (and it tells you you're paying half) but you actually pay the full listing fee. A destitute new player may actually run into this issue and have a problem.

This is exactly the issue that caused the problem for me initially. Imagine my surprise seeing something in my bazaar for the price I thought I listed it on AH. After figuring out how to remove the item from my bazaar, I did a bit of work to replicate the bug under different conditions.

Again if someone could forward this to Nas if it's not done so already, that'd be greatly appreciated.
