When I try to create a character my client is getting hung up and times out on the "Checking name and Gold World Pass." step.

Error code: FFXI-3113
Protocol time out error

Could someone please give me some guidance? I wanna kill wabbits! :-)

If this is because the character name is already taken I would like to gain access to that character because it's mine. I believe I created an account many moons ago with the same name.
