I think I boot the game from the Ashita folder/.exe file, but my Symantec quarantined both the boot file and some other file (i cant remember offhand). Is this normal? It claimed they were infected. My game will not start, claiming I do not have a boot file. Is this a known bug, can someone assist? I am looking forward to playing this game again for the first time in like a decade! Nostalgia is mounting!! It says

"System.Exception: Failed to launch boot file.

File Path: .\\ffxi-bootmod\\boot.exe
Error: 2
at Ashita.Classes.AshitaInjector.<>c__DisplayClass0_0.<LaunchConfiguration>b__0()"

Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling the entire game?

You can recover them from your antivirus. It's a false positive cause by the fact that the process is hooking into another one - most AV don't trust such processes.
