I have set up a controller through the FFXIConfig everything works perfect except the movment thumbstick when pressed forward will not run instead it just walks. When held in other directions it runs perfectly fine so I can effectively run in a circle.
i am very new to these forums and to this game just want to get this to work and try out an adventure. Any help in solving this issue would be profoundly appreciated.

Thank You

That's probably not it, but just in case, have you tried "/" on the Numpad? (Toggle Walk)

What about analog movement in other games? Do you move forward slowly too with the joystick?

Have you changed the stick's sensitivity in your controller's configuration app, if you have one?

I see... then it might be a bad interaction between the Switch Pro's "Direct Input" and how FFXI interprets it.

One avenue that might work is looking online for a way to convert your Switch Pro to "XInput", which is the type of signal a X-Box controller sends, and is known to be fully compatible with FFXI.

Fair warning though, you could spend hours pursuing this avenue. =/

That's all I got, anyway.

I'm having the same problem. Up, down, left and right make me walk but diagonal I can run and click the stick to auto run in any direction but it is very annoying... any fix?

For anyone else having this issue where your character walks even when tilting the stick all the way... If you're using ds4Windows, adjust the stick sensitivity from 1.00 to 1.50.

This might not help with the Switch Pro controller issue, but I'm hoping it helps someone else like me frantically googling for "nasomi controller walking slowly".
