Hello. I'm really wanting to play on this server, but I keep getting D/C during zoning. Get the FFXI-3001 error. I can log back on a few minutes later, but it happens so frequently that I can't do any group activities because of D/C every 1 of 3 zones(crossing my fingers doesn't reduce frequency). I've made it to 27 and can taste my advance jobs, but have lost several parties now due to the issue.


I have read the recommended fixes in the forum and used the search function to read others' problems. They seem to relate to either not being able to login at all or getting D/Cd at the login. The recommended fixes are all on my end, make sure the firewall access is allowed(it is). reset modem/router/network adapter (done). Pulling my hair out because the game boots and runs just fine so long as I don't have to zone often. No R 0's, no signs of internet issues at all. ANY thoughts or recommendations would be amazing.

Do you have --hairpin in your launch config?

I don't think your connection is stable. Does this happen even if you use a different network? Like at a friend's house? Or tethering from your phone?

I've never taken my pc to a friends to play the game. Also nether tethered this game. I haven't had any issues on other games. This is the only place and only while zoning.

No. I am being completely disconnected from the game.

When I zone to a new area. Usually you get a black screen and a short "Downloading Data" then you enter the next zone. For some reason every 2-3 zones the "downloading Data" screen stays up for around a minute and then I get the FFXI-3001 error. After a few minutes I am able to log back on just fine. The game is playable in every way. This is just a tremendous inconvenience.

You ignored what I was really getting at.

Everything you said matches up with those 2 people's symptoms as well. It's the same issue. You have something in common with those two. At least one of them said that they recently got their Windows telling them that they aren't on a legit install or something.

My windows is legit. As far as I can tell, nothing those 2 said is even slightly relevant to the issue I'm having. I haven't had any special prompts or changes to software. The issue isn't "new" either. It's a problem I have had since I installed the game recently.

Those 2 also disconnected randomly on zoning.
