When I try to use the new DDoS protected launcher I get this error:
System.Exception: Failed to launch boot file.

File Path: .\\ffxi-bootmod\\pol.exe
Error: 2
at Ashita.Classes.AshitaInjector.<>c__DisplayClass0_0.<LaunchConfiguration>b__0()

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I got this error too on Windows 10. Turns out Windows Defender flags the boot.exe as a trojan and removes it. Is this a false positive?

It shouldn't point to pol.exe.

You can't move ashita.exe somewhere by itself. It needs to be moved with the rest of the contents in the ashita folder. Don't go moving around exes by themselves.

I didn't move any items at all. I downloaded the launcher and tried to open it and this was the error I received.

Did you unzip it?

Yes, and I am not tech savvy whatsoever, did I simply unzip it to the wrong location?

It sounds to me like you didn't unzip it at all, Robust, or you moved the Ashita.exe somewhere without the rest of the files.

You can't just drag Ashita.exe to your desktop. That's not how you make a shortcut. Put it back.

Hey I'm also having this problem. I am opening the folder and clicking on ashita inside the folder. I think its my firewall blocking it but I have no idea how to allow it.

Find a way to tell your firewall/antivirus not to delete the file. It's the legitimate launcher.

Just getting the same issue after using the new launcher in it's same spot for the past 2 days. Got booted from the game and couldn't relog due to this issue.
