enabling Microsoft C++ Runtimes is stuck on the installer portion of the installation.Any ideas what might be causing all of this?

Can you output the installer? Windows? Mac? Linux?

Did you launch it as Admin (right-click, run as admin)? Sometimes scripted events can fail if they don't have admin access.

Have you tried leaving it at that screen for a while? Is this a fresh install of Windows?

yes it's a fresh install and yes left it running for maybe 30 mins i believe.

trying to install application again right now, if this doesn't work im fixing to go thru and make sure i have all of the runtime packages, even thought i feel as if i should have them all

Try to do a full set of Windows updates before running the installer again. W7 and W8 may have issues running the installer without updates completed.
