I was playing earlier, closed the game, came back later and now i'm having an issue getting back in the game.

I can boot up ashita, the game client, and select my character. but once i get to the black "Downloading Data" screen it times out and give a FFXI-3001 error code.
"No response from the FINAL FANTASY XI server.
Connection timed out.
Press OK to shut down."

I've rebooted my PC, waited a while before trying to log in, even tried creating a new character. I'm not sure what else to do.

And in the Ashita log, the last thing that shows up is:
Hairpin fix applied
Sending account id..
Sending account id..
Receiving Character list..
Sending key..

and it never makes it past that

are you using the updated launcher or the 1 that comes with nasomi installer? just in case try with this https://na.nasomi.com/software/Ashita.zip . Also can u tell your character name? So i can check if u are not stuck in some kind of limbo

sorry about the late reply, i gave it about an hour and came back and it started working again. Then just now i used the NIN 2hr to get back to bastok, and i'm getting hung up on the "Downloading Data" screen again. I've been playing smoothly for 2 weeks, i'm not sure what caused this to start happening.

if u getting something like '' infinite loading screen at log in '' and stuff like that u might try to remove the Bump and Mip mapping setting from the configurations ( ffxiconfig) that could speed Up the loading screen sometimes and fix some of these problems if thats the case

You said you made a new character? Did you make a new login account on the "Account" page of the website? Or did you make a 2nd character on the same login account?

Im having the same problem that you are tried a bunch of things but none of them work, its also not letting me look at my character on the nas website to request being unstuck the minute I click my account name the website errors and can't do anything, wont let me check my mog house inventory as well, my linkshell says that im still showing up online as well says I'm in area --------. really not sure what to do anymore.

This is a different issue and a recent 1.. for some people what fixed was this : reload the webpage that is giving u the error several times , at some point it might work and when/if it does go to mantainance tab and do a clear session , this will fix your character , if you are unable to fix this u gotta p.m nasomi in naschat and ask him to fix your character , he already fixed some people with the same issue this week

I already tried clearing session but it didn't work still won't lod for me still getting same problem.
