I've been interested in playing FFXI for a few years now but never got the chance to due to time restraints and financial trouble, but I recently discovered the world of private servers! a few friends of mine could only say good things about it and the memories they had when they first started, and how it was (is?) different from other MMORPGs - and judging by clips of gameplay, they seem to be right!

I'm planning on making a Red Mage or Thief once the installation process is over.

Just FYI. Rdm refresh is expensive. You can check current prices via nasomi.com marketplace. It's like 300k.

Thf is very common and you will probably need to make parties. Beyond 30ish level.

Tanks, wars plds nins ( though nins is very expensive) always get parties.

Mages are expensive with scrolls. As a first job.
