I followed all the installation steps in the readme file but i get an incorrect ID or password when i try to log.

The password is ABCD1234 as given but does it matter what i set as ID?

pol is their just to update the game, you don't login with it, you log in via ashita

Ok i opened the ashita client, it updated for 2 minutes and got some errors involving missing .dll files (msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll)

I fixed that part and im stuck with a weird error now saying "The application was unable to start correctly 0xc000007b. Click ok to close the application" followed by "Failed to inject into playonline"

Any help would be appreciated ^

Alsi ave you updated the game through pol?

I'm not sure i just did exactly what it said in the readme files.

Step 2. 32-bit users launch FFXISETUP.exe and install everything.
64-bit Windows users launch 64bit POL, then launch FFXISETUP.exe and install everything EXCEPT Playonline


There was some confusion about the boldened part. I launched the 64Bit POL and installed the game through the FFXISETUP.exe but both were running at the same time. I might have to do a new clean install.

EDIT: I think it worked now. THX alot it was the runtime

Hi. I got through , created a username and password then it crashes right after the intro cutscene saying

"Boot loader for Final Fantasy XI for use with private servers has stopped working"

Ok finally worked. although i only got 3 expansions highlighted as available during character creation. Im pretty sure i installed all the expansions

yeah 3 expansions highlighted is normal, allthough you have to install all the expansions for stability, being a classic server only the first 3 are enabled.
