Hi all,

I played FFXI from 10/31/2003 to 9/9/2013, first on Ramuh, then on Bahamut when the two servers merged. I was 13 when I started playing, so in a very literal sense I grew up in Vana'diel. For several years, I was active in one of my server's most prominent HNMLSs. When I quit, I had smn, whm, rdm, and nin at 99, with two empyrean weapons.

I've hopped back onto my original character (Callidor) a handful of times since then, during free login campaigns, and it's always a generally sad experience, having basically no idea what anything is in the game anymore. This most recent time, the nostalgia got the better of me, I started to research some private servers, and thought it would be fun to make a character on here, just to mess around in a more-or-less faithful recreation of old FFXI, without any major plans or expectations for taking it too seriously.

These days I mostly play FFXIV (Nanahine Callidor on Midgardsormr), Elite Dangerous, and lots of Super Smash
