Hello everyone

I'm wondering about trying to start on this serv.
I played several years ago, and i I stopped during the ToAU extension if I remember well.
To be honnest, I was playing mainly for crafting.
I played some years and I was just WHM 40 and some subs, Rank 5 from Sandy.
My pleasure was to fish and to cook. I really enjoyed that. I was 60+ fishing and 95+ cooking.
So my questions are :
- Is still handable to begin like a noob (after 10 years I think I will be totally lost) ?
- Is the population enoughly high to be able to sell my beloved crayfish and moat carp on the AH to get some money to be able to grow correctly ?
- Is the craft still helpful ? I mean I remember I was selling a lot of Sushi, Kabob and other dishes. Can I plan to craft a lot of food and to sell it, or the AH is sleeping excepting for 2 or 3 items/dishes ?
- Is it easy to find some party at any level ? I had a look on the serv like 1 year ago and I'm seeing now that the population has increased.
If the answer is yes for my questions, which job may I chose to start easily ? When I began I took WHM because of the spells which help to avoid monster's aggro.
Sorry if my english isn't perfect, i didn't practice it since a bit of time.
Thanks a lot in advance

Your questions, in order:
1. I think you'll find a lot coming back to you. There's tons of newer people starting out right now though, and if you just go near the AH in your starting city and /shout for a LS, you'll get one with dozens of people on at a time that can help with any early questions or quests that you'd like to get taken care of. You'll find the community pretty forgiving, provided you aren't an ass about it.
2. Crayfish not really. Moat carp, still absolutely. Fishing to level 5, and then catching moat carp is a perfectly viable way to get gear early on. Fishing, on Nasomi, for gil is a pretty common and popular practice. Most people target and NPC fish for good gil/hr, but Moat Carp is an exception in that they sell pretty quick on the AH and can be caught at lvl 5 reliably.
3. Cooking is still good. Lots of items are being purchased. There are popular items, but you'll find that many different varities sell through at a decent rate. Nasomi has a pretty functional economy for consumables.
4. Parties are easy. Don't worry about that. Hit level 12, head to the dunes and never look back.
As for your job, they're all pretty viable and get decent rate of party invites. I'd say BLM and THF get the slowest invites right now, but even them are fine to level.
