So, in case it was a random fluke, I tried again a day later: seems that talking to this mithra and asking about recipies results in the game locking up completely. All controls deactivate, but no dialogue box.

Just tossing this bug out there.

Known bug. It's because retail added this option but there is no code here for it.

It won't show you recipes here ever, just dont click it.
