So i just took Leathercraft from 0 to 88.5 the last 7 days out of boredom/for science.
0-60 same as retail, went pretty fast with occasional 0.2-0.3 skill ups.
60+ never gotten a single skill up above 0.1, which is retail accurate, unlike the system we previously had where you could get 0.2 and 0.3 post 60.
I usually switched recipes 1-2 skills below cap since the closer you get the less skill ups you'll gain.
Skilled up on random days/moon.
This is the data collected from 64.6 to 88.5, i did not desynth anything between these levels:
White Mouton Leathercraft Cap: (67)
64.6 > 66.2 (8 stacks crafted (so 96 crafts), 1.6 skills gained)
Coeurl leather (71)
66.2 > 70.0 ( 15 stacks crafted, 3.8 skills gained)
Tiger Mantle (75)
70.0 > 72.7 (10 stacks crafted, 2.7 skills gained)
---data from 72.7 to 74 is missing---
Coeurl gorget (79)
74.0 > 77.5 (15 stacks crafted, 3.5 skills gained)
Coeurl mantle (85)
77.5 > 83.3 (28 stacks crafted, 5.8 skills gained)
Coeurl jerkin (89)
83.3 > 88.5 (28 stacks crafted, 5.2 skills gained)
In total i've crafted 104 stacks (1248 crafts without counting breaks) and gotten 22.6 skills post 64.6, that's 4.6 stacks for 1.0 whole skill in average.
That would give me an average skill up rate of 18% without counting breaks, with breaks it's probably closer to 16% since most breaks were crit.
This seems solid to me, can't say anything about 90-100 since i'm not there yet, but it definely felt like 25% with 3+ levels below the cap, 15-20% with 2 levels from cap and probably 5-10% with 1 below the cap.
It's obviously not the same as the previous system we had on here since that was way off, but i feel like this is very close to retail now except for the crit break rate which is way too high.
I have no idea how Metzger got 0 skill ups with 6 stacks several levels below cap, something must have went wrong there.
Here is the screenshot of my last syth from 87.00 to 88.00 with 2 levels from cap.

88.0 to 88.5 with 1 level from cap.
