Yeah, I 75'd 17 jobs, and got 9 relics without a dual box over 4 1/2 years. As a single character, Baldr is probably one of the single most accomplished on the server. Again, totally possible without a dbox in tow everywhere you go.

I do however need two mules to keep all of those jobs geared and ready for use, and would choke a bitch for 80 inventory slots.

Yes most people who do it in parties are generally terrible, but they get treated like anyone else who is terrible at the game.

If dual boxing truly offers no advantage in NM camping then why do people do it. Seems the people defending it know it's an advantage they're just salty about losing it

Probably depends on the NM. Something like Mee Deggi, why has ok farmage I'll bring the mule an put vendor trash on it. That way even if I miss claim playing a single character, I still don't leave empty handed. Something like the NM sheep in Konshtat an La Thein I might bring it along to speed up the kill if I get claim. I could spend 25 minutes whittling it down on redmage, or kill it in half that with an alt assisting.

In neither case does bringing my alt actually help get claim. If you think dual boxing is such a huge advantage camping NMs, try it. Make an alt, level it to 18, and camp Leaping Lizzy. Guarantee you after losing claim a few times to people only playing one character folks would shut up, but the people crying about dual boxing won't because that would require effort on their part.

And that's really the problem here. Some people just want to get something with less work. It really has nothing to do with dual boxing being unfair. They perceive this pair of established characters as a threat, build it up to something bigger than it is, and instead of putting in the work to establish and play their own second character, they whine about it like petulant children hoping to get someone else's toys taken away.

It does. It offers the advantage of faster kill times and more inventory space, as stated.

I have brought two characters to an NM before, Shikigami Weapon in Ro'Maeve.

There were some 15 people there, from 3 linkshells. I was a SMN and a PLD. My best claimer on SMN was Dia. There was no chance in hell that I was claiming with Dia. So, my screen was tabbed
full-time on my PLD. Provoke is much faster. I got the claim, and we got the drop for our aspiring SMN friend.

Shikigami weapon will spawn at an exact time. If my PLD's screen was not the active window full time, I'd have lost claim. Time yourself, how long does it take to tab a window, hit F8 and then Alt-1?
