You think people that could make an offer of 30M+ gil could never be in a position of finding 3 BLM and a RDM level 60+ to kill a mob in TC every 12 hours? There are people right now that are part of groups trying to sell a KC that are only part of that group because they literally typed "/" in an LS chat, and then showed up 15 minutes later for a 7 minute fight, right?
Like I said, for a cursed cap -1.. It depends if your offer involves the crafting literally losing gil? Like there is an established floor for crafted items, because gil was spent to create them. No one is in crafting to lose gil. Having the only item for sale of a rare item, and not needing any gil, makes it a tough case to take less than you've decided it's worth. A KC? At least one member of the group that is part of a KC sale has went to like one kill in months.. and it dropped. How much gil would he like for his 15 minutes of time, and incredible luck?
So, uh, I kinda get where you're going with this, and while I wouldn't take Camper's offer if I had a personal KC to sell, I don't think it's an unreasonably bad one. I could see people taking a hit to move it quickly if they valued a relic over having a KC... But, your arguments in here about crafting having a minimum cost and KC not don't really make any sense. Crafting materials don't have any more of a fixed cost than a KC does - those behemoth hides still come from a drop, that required people get the claim, put in the time, etc. Or the beehive chips. Or whatever. (Almost) everything in this game comes down to drops and what they're priced at, so you can't really act like KC is different from crafting materials there.
Sure, some people have done dozens or hundreds of TC's and not seen a KC drop. And sure, someone can show up one time and see it. Personally, if I was in charge, I'd probably keep track of everyone who went to a TC, and split up the sales based on share of attendance since the last drop. But that's not how things work, and it's also not really relevant. The system works how it works, and everyone knows that going in. Some guy getting lucky because there was none of the regular TC campers around really has no impact on what the price is.
tldr: I don't think your argument really makes any sense, Camper's offer isn't one I would take but also isn't one that I think is at all insulting. If someone had one listed at 65 and he was arguing about how it should be 35, sure, fuck it. But a general 'hey if anyone wants to let one of these go in a quick sale for a complete set of relic currency, lmk' is a lot different.
