When I bought mine a year ago, I got a /tell from someone, I forget who, in the linkshell empire, explaining to me that since it did not work properly, I should sell it to her for half what I bought it for. I went out and tested it on Suzaku (which might not have been the best) but I saw a difference. Now that ive been using it on other mobs, like tiamat and jorm, I do see a difference when forgetting it at home. I do not have numbers. Ill have to pull some up on the next wyrm I go to, but if there is previous numbers or patch notes explaining that the body doesnt work, id be open to seeing it too.

It's Earthsday.

417 base, 459 boosted before Barstonra.

417 base, 459 boosted after Barstonra with BB and 5/5 merits.

Blessed body does not raise barspell if you think it does. It is suppose to raise the MAD of the barspell.

Example, your barspell is at 459, that wont change. With the body, youll get about a 4%-5% more magic defense against stone attacks. So you'll see the difference when the element is casted on you.

So to test it efficiently, youll need to fight something that is going to cast a magical element on you, and see how much average damage it does with and without the body to see if there is around a 4% damage decrease with it on than off.

So, what difference did you see then?

When I tested it on suzaku, firaga was doing less damage wearing the body casting barfira, than without. It wasn't the best test because suzaku was not the best mob to test on but on short notice its all I could test on at that time, about a year ago. I can retest on a harder mob next time I go whm out to a wyrm and get a more accurate reading. I cannot confirm if it is 4%-5% like the wiki says it should be, but I can confirm I did see a small difference. There should be a bigger number difference on a wyrm.

So yea its not suppose to raise the barspell stat, but at the same time someone needs to provide proof using it reduced magic dmg to the element before anyone should buy this item
