Um...make your own party? Pretty simple solution and how most THFs get to 75. Exp is exp, even if its a shit party

True Story:

Dunes, SE Beach, I was soloing Crabs while waiting for party and it appears that I was alone. All of a sudden, I see Docomo with his 19 THF/BST soloing the beach. He then proceeds to send me private messages telling me what it's basically his beach and that all the crabs are his.

I ignore.

Docomo then runs to Selbina and switches to his 54 BST/WHM and then purposefully kills all the crabs with his Tiger pet and then proceeds to follow me up and down the beach to out claim me. I told him that I was taking screenshots and videos (cleary lie, I have better things to do) and he told me to go ahead and that the world would see that he was there "first" and the crabs were "his".

Conclusion: He harassed me, he followed me like a stalker, prevented me from claiming any mob (although I was Dragoon at the time and I had to rely on Jump) and justified it by saying "What? I'm not allowed to farm Land Crab Meat?".

So all this to say is that this guy has serious fucking issues. I did not report him at the time because I am a chill guy and I figured this d00d is not happy in real life. Anyways. I thought people should know what type of guy he is and he wonders why he's seeking?

I'd have to say this guy is quite a hypocrite.

I haven't played in a few months, but have always been a party maker and can say with certainty that I checked /seacom messages via the browser every single time and it definitely makes a difference. Keep filling it out people!



This is the answer, though I fear it may be too late for OP. He's probably hit a lot of blacklists already... I think I'll log in tonight if only to do so.

This is coming from a thf fanboy.

I have thf at 72, and sam 75. I was rank 1 when i hit 75.

While leveling SAM - i actively avoided inviting thf's into my parties.

So - while leveling thf i created 99.99% of my parties. It's well known thf's dont get many invites, let alone 60+

A 2handed DD on nas - geared relatively the same - will normally outdamage a thf. Say 10% of thf's can put up comparable or hell lets go off the rails and lets say higher dd numbers.

For the 10% of thfs that can put up the same sustained dps of a 2h runs into these issues in an xp pt:

1. For that thf to put out comparatively the same numbers, the tank & other DD must be more attentive and actually stack on monsters.
2. If someone moves from a TA, or the monster turns around you effectively have lost most of your dps.
3. The fights in great xp pt's dont usually last 60sec for a SATA cooldown to come up, so your really only effective on 50% of the pulls.
4. Your dps must limit themselves in the beginning of fights to not pull hate before SATA goes off.

Basically, for a thf to put out comparable damage to a 2h dps in an xp pt your party must change their normal playstyle, be more attentive in how they manage hate and orientate themselves around the mon.

Thf has its purpose on ffxi, its purpose is not to push out crazy dps in low-high level xp party setups. It's just not.
