Hey Apeture, just a heads up.
Blade: Metsu is actually a 60% Dex modifier in era, because Seeker of Adoulin buffed it to 80%, now if Nasomi has the Seeker of Adoulin flagged turned on or not is one thing but you should operate under the assumption it is a 60% DEX modifer.
Here is the source code of an open source FFXI code base to show that:
https://github.com/DarkstarProject/dark ... _metsu.luaCode:
params.str_wsc = 0.0 params.dex_wsc = 0.6 params.vit_wsc = 0.0 params.agi_wsc = 0.0 params.int_wsc = 0.0 params.mnd_wsc = 0.0 params.chr_wsc = 0.0
params.crit100 = 0.0 params.crit200 = 0.0 params.crit300 = 0.0
params.canCrit = false
params.acc100 = 0.0 params.acc200 = 0.0 params.acc300 = 0.0
params.atk100 = 1; params.atk200 = 1; params.atk300 = 1;
if USE_ADOULIN_WEAPON_SKILL_CHANGES then
params.ftp100 = 5 params.ftp200 = 5 params.ftp300 = 5
params.dex_wsc = 0.8
end
That said. Because Blade: Metsu is a one hit weapon skill, the Dex Modifer effects 100% of the weapon skill and will probably out weigh attack. People are building Attack & Accuracy weapon skill sets because everyone is using multihit weapon skills, which means the attack effects 100% of the weapon skill, unlike the modifier which only effects the first hit.
So for example, on Penta Thrust, which is a 5 Hit weapon skill, the modifer only effects 20% of the weapon skill hits (or 1/5), albeit the first hit should do more damage than the rest of the hits.
So if its a 1 Hit WS, you are probably better off doing the Modifier, especially if its high, and if its a multihit weaponskill, my understanding so far, Accuracy and Attack are going to be better until you hit Accuracy cap, then attack will be best.
