The name is Arzt, both in the forums and in-game, RDM from Bastok.

TBH, I am a total greenhorn in the FFXI community. Not just in Nasomi, but in FFXI in general.

Stumbled upon this server due to a certain YT vid I saw while surfing. Since I'm really eager to play all versions of FF, and this is Free2Play, I decided to pick this up.

If someone could help me grip all the "basics" of the game (the how-tos and stuff), it will be much appreciated.

Hey there--welcome to the game and Nasomi! We do get brand new players sometimes, so you're not the first. Nas's wiki outlines some basic stuff, and you can look up quests on the FFXI wiki (just google it, you'll go right to it). Ask anyone in game for a linkshell and they'll get you into the server wide one.

Looking at the forums and all, is that what a "pearl" was for? And are those spherical icons on each person's characters related to the pearls or LS? Sorry, I'm new to FFXI lingo, whough I kinda know that LS = Guild.
