Hi! Don't know if your questions were answered but I can provide some pointers to help out.
Not going to read through all the drama in the thread - I am a NIN/BLM who has done the fight 87 times (29 my orb * 3 party members)
The only INT/Magic gear I use are Morion Earrings and Eremite Rings +1 w/ Fruit Parfait.

NIN/NIN/RDM is a perfectly fine strat. NIN's elemental wheel is crucial to the fight and can be supplemented with melee attacks in between Hex Eyes / Petro Gaze.

You can practice this on any gaze attack mob or in the BCNM itself. When the animation of Hex Eyes begins, the move has already taken place regardless of what the animation is doing. Meaning, your opportunity to swing is at the beginning of Hex Eyes actual animation right after the orange "readying move" bit. Turn, swing, and immediately turn again.

Meleeing the mob coupled with the Ninjutsu elemental wheel has allowed me to typically be faster than BLUs who purely fought with physical spells and I down my lesser hecteyes in about 1:40 and help the other player with theirs. Practice will make perfect doing this.

Be sure your RDM is /WHM for paralyna - /BLM Elemental Seal is not needed to land enfeebles and /NIN shadows do nothing against a mob that enjoys -ga spells.

To speed up starting the fight - your RDM needs to only Shell 2 everyone and buff themselves with Blink/Stoneskin for the initial pull. After the initial pull - blink is unnecessary as the large hecteyes you kite prefers -ga spells. Protect is hardly necessary due to hecteyes being unable to do damage before Utsusemi: Ichi recast is available again.
