Would love to hear from everyone what jobs do you enjoy playing and why?

Personally, I have always liked the versatility of RDM and BLU, I found myself taking different roles depends on what I'm doing and I'm always capable of soloing when needed.

BLM will probably always be my most favorite to play, especially for 'lowman' content like missions/etc., namely because of how much it ends up being somewhat of a 'math equation' kinda thing. Adding more INT/MAB/etc. shows direct results, and a lot of your effectiveness comes down to skill and timing as opposed to a melee job where it's often just 'stuff gear onto various slots and tell yourself that it's probably better, even if your Tachi: Gekko is still somewhere between 400 and 4 million damage each time'.

RDM is probably one of the most versatile jobs I've ever played, and I probably play it more than anything else. RDM + THF combo is insanely good.. like, you can do just about anything in the game dualboxing that setup, given enough time. It's crazy how high you can stack Evasion and take on all kinds of insane mobs that are way higher level than you.

SAM is my favorite DPS class to play on Nasomi, very strong and versatile. DRG still holds a special place in my heart (it was my first 75 job), but I know that my SAM is just way more useful in most situations.

Honorable mentions for SMN and RNG. Both are kinda 'niche', but both make me feel good to play :)

Red mage sub ninja.

If you want to 1v1 vs an HNM, rdm/nin can last the longest just about everywhere except maybe absolute virtue.

2v1 vs an HNM and you're still best off with two rdm/nins in every case I can think of.

Even 3v1 I'd still probably take a third rdm/nin and you're now at the point where you can comfortably handle things like byakko, cerberus, khim etc.

Only at 4v1 does it start to make sense to look at a whm/pld/brd as a possible option, but even then it'd be hard to beat a 4th rdm/nin.

This keeps scaling: if you have a 1:1 ratio between support/tanks/healers and DD in say an einherjar alliance, you may very well be better off with 36 melee rdm/nins managing themselves than a conventional melee setup of 18 DD with support. A double alliance of excal rdms would definitely be able to take out AV straight up, something that no conventional alliance has ever done on Nasomi.

There are definitely situations where mixing in blms/plds/brds is going to be beneficial relative to more rdms. Thief has its own reserved bracket for TH of course.

Whms/smns/cors/drks aren't a total waste either. A lot of the other jobs though really don't seem to carry the same weight as rdm when you divide what they bring to the table by the support staff it takes to keep them running optimally. Even a job like drk zerging at a fight like DL, I believe that fight could be more reliably won by a similarly sized alliance of rdms than a drk zerg setup. It would be a bloodbath for sure; but it may even be faster with rdms than drk zerging if you factor the amount of time it takes to spawn a DL plus set up the zerg alliance, multiplied by the chance that the zerg fails.

If you're at all unsure about what job to take to 75, just make it rdm. Pound for pound nothing is stronger, even double relic pld.

RDM/NIN is the most powerful job because it has the most resources and counters to every offense in the game. What it lacks, meds will usually make up for. Where time is not a factor, this job combo will outperform any other. The more you multiply this survivability, the more you can do with less.

But, as far as favorites go, it's a toss-up between NIN or BRD. Damage dealers are my least favorite, because the skill ceiling to perform optimally is not very high. TP > WS is a snooze-fest. I have the most fun tanking, healing, or pulling simultaneously while dualboxing. To do these jobs individually puts a fair amount of responsibility on your shoulders; to do them both, and well, makes me feel alive.

I guess my pfp says it, but RDM is my best job, any FF, ever.

The versatility, the finesse, the elegance. Since FF1, this job is the middle ground of melee, heals, and nukes. Tho it has no specialization, RDMs are considered generalists in nature.

...then FF11 came and then we got one: DEBUFFS.

NOW KNEEL IN TERROR WHILE WE TORTURE EVERY LAST MONSTER ON THE PLANET...with style!

Everybody always says, "Wow, pulling and PLing?" "Wow, tanking and PLing?"

I almost can't party without doing it, I get so bored lol. Glad I'm not the only one.
