New player to Nasomi, but not a new player to FF11.

I played FF11 WAY back when it came out for PC, and then later played exclusively on my PS2 when that came out (Ran far better than it could on my PC at the time.)

I'm currently leveling THF up as my first job, and doing the few things I know how in order to make some early game money, but given that the economy is a bit slower, I was wondering if there are any specific things I should know about getting started here. I don't feel as though I could afford gear for the dunes at all by the time I'm ready to go level there.

Any adopt a noob programs? New player friendly LS that helps new players? Or quests/events/etc that I might not know about given that its a private server, or is everything pretty much vanilla on that front?

Either way so far I'm loving being able to play this game again, especially on a server that seems to have the same ideas about FF11 and how it used to be as I do.

So.. How is everyone else doing?

Hey! If you start in Bastok, shout around for a BastokRepublic shell, it's one of the most noob friendly places you can hope to land.

I should have mentioned where I started, woops. I actually did start in Bastok, so that's awesome information. I shouted for the moghouse shell a bit ago but didn't get a response. I'll try for BastokRepublic in a little bit and see where that gets me.
