Very briefly, played on the Eden servers years and years ago (approx 2013-2014ish) when they where still *incredibly* broken, didn't get to play retail ffxi until approx. 2016-2018ish, so I was several years behind the curve.

Simple, looked up ffxi private servers and saw this was among the most populated ones.

Still trying to decide which class I want to focus on, down to about 2-3 options but haven't quite made my mind up. Especially considering at least 2 of the choices will lock me into them forever.
The character creator is built upon lies, Elvaan M Face 8 looks ridiculously hideous in the FMV but looks incredibly handsome ingame. No I do not accept criticism on this topic.
