I think the most amusing part is the fact that Leaping Boots are so cheap that they aren't even worth getting that upset about.

I would like to think I'm very friendly with everybody here because that's just who I am as a person, but even I have had a few similar experiences with very aggressive players here. I only have two players on my blacklist, but both of those players acted similar to the guy in the LL screenshot.

It happens. People tend to forget they're playing a game for fun sometimes.

Perhaps, the thing is LL is not lottery spawn on this server. The timer is 1h, so I have to literally wait there after each kill (whether I or someone else claim). I'm from sandy so I can't can't OP warp to Valkurm Dunes to camp emperor in between like bastok guys. I wasn't intended on staying this long. Saw the price on AH went up, I put up my boots on AH and got another on 2nd kill 2 days ago and put that up on AH also. I've been trying to get replacement since and then head out.


Price went up, I think that's why low level are going crazy about it.

Don't let a couple bitter people ruin your experience. Just blacklist and move on. People like that aren't worth the time it takes to write a reply, in my opinion.

It is totally unreasonable for someone to get mad and flame someone even if they camp the NM a month straight. You can't expect to win an NM without widescan and people should man the heck up and learn to compete with you. I saw the guy flaming you pop flee and then use an invis pot so people can't see him run to tag it. LOL, you waste time popping an invis pot in a nm rush.

Your story could have been told without the screen shot to be honest. "a guy got mad at me for camping LL for two days straight and complained about widescan". looks to me like you got your feelings hurt and wanted retribution / wanted to start a witch hunt. I get that this player was 'aggressive' to you, but could it be possible you caught him on a bad day? especially considering you said you thought you knew him previously...

So for instance -- had a guy walk into our dunes party yesterday, when we were there first, and start pulling lizards from our area. when we started pulling extras and sleeping them, he proceeded to pull every single lizard in the entire area, aggro them onto his power level via cure3, and continued doing this until we eventually left.

I asked my linkshell if anyone knew the guy (and this is a pretty small linkshell, maybe like 15 ppl on at peak times), and two different people said that this guy had done the same thing to them.
Yes, it was infuriating; but i dont see a point in trying to start a witch hunt against the guy. He'll develop that reputation on his own.

What you said is not unreasonable. But if you want a good and healthy community, you need to identify and alienate the toxic people. You can't just bat a blind eye toward the person because he/she haven't done anything wrong to YOU specifically. Example of the first guy I posted, he is clearly racist and toxic to the community and then one person posted on the forum

To be fair the first guy is a total over-reaction from you. Getting flamed cause someone would rather get jealous and butt hurt instead of improving their game is one thing. Some random guy running by you and saying something random should just be a blacklist and move on - definitely not worth a public flame on the forums. You can privately report him if you are that offended but you could also use a bit thicker skin.

This is a tiny private server, i dont know how many users frequent the forums, but if it's a significant number, you could actually ruin somebody's ability to get parties just for having a bad day and making a mistake / treating one person poorly.

I'm just saying the witch hunting isn't necessary, that's all. I actually had another player impact my ability to play the game, not just say mean words to me. Theres no way im going to ever forget the guys name, and you can bet ill never invite him to a party, but if another player was blowing up my chat id probably just blacklist him.

If it helps the case, that same chodebucket flamed a LS-mate of mine, calling him a scumbag, asshat, etc. for camping Lizzy with widescan as well, lol. Apparently using widescan for NMs makes someone a bad person.
