Sorry to interject, but shuriken ninja far outparses anything a mage ninja could come up with. With the right gear and food, you're looking at 100-140 dmg per throw in between katana attacks. The only downside is the insane cost of this. I'm 82 smithing, and making manji shurikens will run me around 38k per stack.

Back on topic, I haven't really seen ninjutsu's effectiveness go down much at all. It's still based on how you gear. If you're using 2 int rings and nothing else and complaining about resists, you're gonna have a bad time.

Doesn't change the fact at lv63 I'm landing almost exclusively full Resists or 3/4 Resists. Need lv75 for Ninjutsu merits and a pair of Koga Kyahan. Otherwise I own every piece of Ninjustu. I know Crawlers in Boyahda aren't magically resistant, but I had capped skill @72 and was getting heavily resisted by VT Goldfish regularly.

Honestly, if you aren't casting between Auto-Attack Rounds, you're doing something wrong to begin with, which again, is why I'm seeing issues. Because Ele-Wheel is my "primary" source of Damage since it hits much harder on Exp Mobs than Auto-Attacks ever will. Not as fast, maybe, but significantly harder. And prior to the changes, I wasn't having any real issues, but the higher damage but also higher resist rate is very noticeable when you're using it as a primary damage source.

Also INT does NOT affect resist rates, it's exclusively Skill Gear that does. Unless the code is vastly different than retail, retail was Skill = M.Acc, Int = Damage.

Sounds like you don't know how to juggle damage outputs, Ranged Attacks affect your Auto-Attack Delay but Casting Spells, using Job Abilities, and Weapon Skills do not.

(Edit) For Example, Auto-Attacks during Stoneskin Cast Animation as Rdm/Nin, Auto-Attacking during the end-cast animation of Ele-Wheel Spells or Ninjutsu Enfeebles, Auto-Attacking right after using a Weapon Skill during the Animation of the Weapon Skill itself without the Auto-Attack Animation happening at all but the attacks all go through on top of the Weapon Skill Damage that you used. I can list numerous others too.

Is this true? Wasn’t the whole reason brds used chr was for macc on lullaby/elegy? I thought int/mind worked the same for their respective spells.

INT will definitely help your magic accuracy, same as retail

10/10 Int merits would normally say otherwise, but no. Int doesn't affect Ninjutsu Resist Rates.

"The higher your Ninjutsu Skill is, the more effective your spells will be. Ninjutsu damage is calculated as magic damage and is affected by INT and MAB accordingly."

Can’t say I can point you to the exacting coding but I know magic accuracy takes your INT vs the mobs INT in determining whether or not you will be resisted

For spells yes.

Are you just restating what he said, or insinuating that Ninjutsu isn't a spell?

As Aeroo pointed out, I'd recommend just following your signature. I don't see why resist rates wouldn't consider INT.
