May have been pointing to the other thread about error 4001... had a link to a modified boot file.

May have been taken down for moderation... some of the discourse was getting a little heated. May show back up once things are cleaned up?

Do you get into the zone or just hang @ Downloading Data?

Several others have said the fix worked fine, so I want to confirm: are you sure you're launching with the patched boot.exe, and are you sure you're getting this exact issue? Slowly disconnecting after completing a zone transition?

The fix seems to have worked for me haven’t disconnected since downloading it. Thanks a lot Nabutso!

Here are the symptoms:

- I get stuck at downloading data for a long time, then get a 4001.
- It happened since the start, not since the new client was out.
- I tried with the new boot.exe without success
- it happen on very specific zone: Metalwork, lower and upper jeuno, Al Zhabi, Tav safehold Yugott Grotto, etc
- Everytime I zone in or out of those zone, the error happen
- tried my account on different computer and network location and equipement, it still happen (couldn't test to a computer that confirmed working with a different account)
- also tried to erase and re-install the full client.

That's pretty much it.

It's "manageable" for now, tho Al Zhabi is painfull since ToAU is fully activated.
