Thanks. I just received an upgraded item now. The only weird thing was that Sagheera doesn't give you the response about how the item will take more time when you talk to her before it is ready for pickup.

It has been well documented how long certain things take to "fix" on this server. There definitely should have been a way to revert these changes back to the old system if it became game breaking; And yes, this is game breaking for players that are aspiring to obtain relics like many did on this server. Either a method should have been in place to revert the changes or there should be unprecedented urgency to fix this "bug", starting to believe it may not be a
bug due to the lack of urgency to fix said issue, in order to retain people on this server. Not only does this affect new players long term goals, it affects current players available content to go after because in the end...relics are the end game.

There is unprecendented urgency.

But the guy still has a wife, kids, and job. He spends a lot more time on ffxi than he does on the former. I'd bet on it being fixed this week.

You also thought it might have been fixed the day release...then over the weekend...now its a week. We have seen this pattern before its nothing new. That's why you don't release something that changes something so pivotal without having a contingency plan if something goes wrong. That's the point.

I'm sure he'll fix it. I'm also sure it'll take a while.

just to be clear: I'd prefer him to fix this change, because it has an impact on many things. I'd just also prefer him to circle back around and not make the item everyone aspired to in this era obtainable in 2-3 months (and that's being generous, most are faster).

I don't particularly believe we're going to get much more true content down the road (i.e. he's spending time fixing banish on undead).. so I'd prefer the content we do have, to be harder to obtain/complete.

Relics were at an unacceptable level when it comes to obtaining one in retail. You cannot expect people playing on a private server to spend a year getting one person a relic. The time frame in which these are obtained is fine especially compared to the history of how relics were obtained.

I absolutely can expect it to take that long.. or somewhere in between a year and 6-8 weeks. No more content is coming. As you said, relics are end game. It should be something people aspire to, not something you complete in a few weeks with 5 other dudes. Just my 2 cents. I imagine you'll get what you wanted eventually, but to call it game breaking is just hilarious. That's all I meant.

The server historically having stupid issues with how people got relics really doesn't have a weight on how I think they should be going forward, but I get your point. It's certainly improved.

I had decided to stay out of it, besides my one joke about hoping it wasn't a bug, until you called it game breaking lol. Obviously, my opinion about relics is a minority opinion. I don't pretend otherwise.
