This was a thing in retail, just like you could tractor through in delk tower. I dont think nas would do anything about it.

This isn't exploitation, it's actually not surprising given how bugged that path is with invisible mobs. Exploitation is the people skilling up in Kuftal, and the people not killing their fish. Amongst countless other things that deal with mob pathing.

The skilling up I totally agree with, but not killing the fish I don't care so much about because people could always sneak fish and avoid it anyways. Although I suppose it would either force the thfs to come /whm or bring their dualboxes. *shrug* Prolly best it gets fixed at some point though.

It's technically a terrain exploit at this point, but I'd argue it's closer to the white side of grey in this case (the Devil Manta pool in Kuftal, specifically) since sneak-fishing doesn't work on Nasomi, or at least not yet. Back on retail, we would always sneak-fish and leave all the mobs up, since it at least seemed to give better odds of fishing a manta after the window was up. Who knows, it might've just been silly superstition, but it sure felt that way. You'd get shouted out of the zone for griefing if you ran around killing the fished up mobs. IMO, it'd be nice if fished up mobs behaved more like retail (won't aggro if fished up while you have Sneak up, and aren't sound AND sight aggro to everyone nearby), but meh, I can see some value in having their current behavior helping to prevent lazy fish botters/scripters.


That said, I can all but guarantee that mobs being up or not has no bearing on the Devil Manta rate here. I've fished up multiple manta back-to-back with mobs up or down, and have also gone hours without a single manta pop while fishing solo with them up or down as well. If my results hold true, one could make the case that leaving mobs up here on Nasomi is more of a laziness/convenience thing than anything else.
