I dono if I will do that, considering I don't remember anything about this game really. My question though is this, if I do decide to do that, I have a tablet that is a I5 3rd gen, with 8gbs of ram I think that will run it, can you just copy that entire folder you create when you follow the torrent directions? Or would I have to re download the whole thing on the tablet? I hope I can just copy it, since that last step of repairing it takes me like 8 hours.

Many thanks for any advice :)

Unfortunately you can't just copy it over, it's the install all over. It's not to bad though, just leave it overnight. And yes, it will run ffxi just fine.

Actually i think copying and pasting the files would work once you do the initial install process which creates the registry files, copy and paste the ffxi directory from your other pc then repair, it will then only take a few minutes instead of 8 hours, i did something similar last time i reinstalled and it worked like that for me.

( i say similar because i downloaded the game from ffxi website, installed it, takes like 15 mins, used my old install on another pc to copy and paste everything in the ffxi directory to the new pc, then loged into my retail account to update, but its the same in theory, the update only took a few minutes from a fresh install)

yeah it'll run but not very well, intel 3rd gen integrated gfx should be more than enough to run ffxi but intels dx8 driver support is pretty terrible, to get a constant 30 fps you're going to have to drop the resolution very low! I had to on my intel 4th gen laptop!
