I did have a few questions still. It's still quite some time before this matters for me but what kid of endgame scene is present? How many active endgame shells? Is the competitive vibe that retail had still there? Also I've seen it mentioned a few times that dynamis is different, could anyone elaborate as far as how it's different?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to playing with everyone. I'm currently in the market for a social/lvling linkshell if any are recruiting.
There are quite a few shells running around doing various bits of end-game. Specifically if you're talking about HNM hunting theres only a couple shells currently doing them, but they do compete with others. I think a few people have been taking a break so the competition hasn't been quite as stiff but there are 3-4 shells who are capable of doing this content.
As far as other end-game type content, there are quite a few shells that run dynamis, sky, limbus ect.. You won't generally run into huge amounts of competition since it's much easier to go do something else if what you're looking for is currently in use.
As far as Dynamis goes. Instead of being a 3 hour instance that is invite only (via the hourglasses) where anyone in zone can lot / attack monsters, instead it operates more in windows. Anyone can enter the dynamis zone at any time during a run and monster claims / loot are only available for people within the party / alliance with claim. There is still a time limit which begins once the first person enters the zone (can be extended by killing time extension monsters). If a group enters a specific dynamis zone after another group started a run, that new group is limited to however much time is left.
Once time expires, all mobs in the zone depop allowing a chance to lot/pass the last bit of equipment, raise any dead players and leave the zone. Obviously, it is not wise to enter a dynamis zone when another group is in there, you're shorting yourself on how much time you get in the zone.
After everyone has exited the zone it becomes available for the next person / group to start (repopulating the zone and restarting the timer).
It costs 50k per person to enter and you may enter once a day (resets at midnight EST. So its possible to enter at 9pm, do a run, then enter again a short time later after midnight).
