I first want to thank whomever created the amazing installation wizard. I played on a different private server back in 2016 and getting it installed was like pulling teeth (and I'm in IT). I think this is probably a big reason for the increase in population on this server.

How you found us? I was recently considering quitting gaming altogether as I have less and less time (married with kids). So I decided to take a trip down memory lane. My fondest memories are without a doubt my time in FFXI. Nostalgia brought me to Youtube, which made me curious about it's population in 2018, which caused me to stumble upon a video discussing the most populated private server still in the level 75 era. Needless to say... not quitting

Other MMO's? WoW for a brief time when it first became popular and FFXIV 2.0. Both have there merits, but community isn't one of them, so I didn't stick around. I was hooked on EVE Online for awhile as it reminded me off FFXI as far as needing to be involved in the community and it's amazing economy (I'm weird and love to farm - e.g mining). However the PVP "griefing" was out of control and I just found myself leaving the game angry more than I should be. I longed for a 75 White Mage to walk by and cast protect and shell simply to be nice and help me out.

Question for you: Did anyone else buy FFXI simply because at the time (I think anyways) that was the only way to get the hard drive kit for the PS2? I wanted to get the DLC content for Socom 2 and FFXI happen to come with it. After months I decided to try FFXI since I technically bought it and I am so glad to this day that I did. My Socom clan didn't like that I did though, as I slowly migrated from clan to linkshell
