I am trying to give the NPC Endracion the turn in item for the San'Doria Mission 1-1 Smash the Orcish Scouts. I have the rare/ex Orcish Axe in my inventory.

Endracion just says " Bring me one of those axes, and your mission will be a success. No running away now; we've a proud country to defend!

To hand in the item you need to trade it to the NPC, not just talk to him.
